“Mnatutesa nyinyi abiria wallahi! Super Metro Makanga cry After Passengers Boycot

Super Metro tout has lamented over struggles they are going through in the hands of passengers as they make a living.

In a viral clip, a tout stated that they are struggling to beg passengers to board their matatu as the majority have boycotted after the recent accident saga along Thika Road.

Super Metro tout explained that some passengers bargain even for short distances and the fare is never increased and others when approached to board the matatu, run from them due to fear.

“Mnatutesa nyinyi abiria wallahi! Mtu anaenda kubeba abiria hivi, unasikia ooh, unataka kunirusha nje tena? Unaenda kumlipisha halafu anakuambia ako na chwani sasa unanyamaza tu. Mnatusesa ya ukweli.” The tout lamented in the viral clip.

The tout revealed that most of them are even stressed about their work because of the cold reception they are receiving from passengers. He added that although it’s one who messed up, netizens should have mercy on them.

“Hata kama ni mmoja alikosea, mbona mnatutesa hivi? Mimi nimeinua mikono, mnatutesa. Ni mmoja tu alikosea si sisi wote. Mnatupea trauma. Mtu anaenda kulala hivi unafikiria kesho sasa nitaamka niende nikutane na wale wasee wanasema ni kukurusha nje.” He added.

On March, 11, a netizen named Gilbert Thuo was allegedly pushed out of the moving Super Metro matatu by a tout and died. It’s alleged the tout pushed Gilbert over Ksh. 30 fare dispute.

The Sacco, which has since suspended the tout, apologised to the public and promised to observe sanity, kindness and well-being of their clients when in line of duty.

“We do not condone reckless behaviour and as a precautionary measure, the crew involved in this accident has been suspended pending further investigation. We will fully cooperate with authorities to ensure justice is served.” The company statement said in part.
