“Lets go baibe”,Nairobi Woman Engages ‘Kanjo’ In Dramatic Drive Around Town

A Kenyan woman, Ntazola Gloria, recently gained widespread attention when a video of her intense confrontation with an unidentified Nairobi city council askari went viral on the internet.

This video, shared extensively across various social media platforms, depicts Ntazola Gloria engaged in a heated exchange with the ‘Kanjo’ officer, whom she alleges forcefully entered her vehicle, accusing her of violating parking regulations.

In the footage, Ntazola can be seen driving along the Nairobi Expressway while she questions the askari, unleashing a barrage of expletives, name-calling, and vowing to keep him in her car all day to teach him a lesson.

“Why are you behaving this way? Did you have any right to enter my car? We are going where I’m going,” she angrily remarks, interspersed with profanities. “I’m taking you to my place right now, and you won’t leave this car. Are you even a traffic police officer? You people are stressing Kenyans out. I’ll drive you to Ngong town!”

Amid the escalating commotion, the composed ‘kanjo’ officer attempts to calm the situation, asking, “Why are you doing this to me?”

However, Ntazola continues her tirade, repeatedly labeling him with derogatory terms and attempting to obstruct the recording by placing his hand over the camera.

“We’re going on a road trip! Didn’t you want to get into my car? We’ll be with you until tomorrow… What was my mistake? I was just trying to park,” she states.

The video then shows them driving along the Nairobi Expressway, with Ntazola relentlessly berating her captive, talking over him as she drives on, undeterred.

“I’ve even paid for this road. We’re going to cruise with you all night. Your superiors instruct you to extort money from innocent Kenyans. You wanted to ride with me? Let’s go, baby,” she continues.

This confrontation has set the internet abuzz and sparked a wide range of reactions from Kenyans. The majority of people have supported Ntazola, while a smaller group accused her of holding the ‘kanjo’ officer captive, essentially alleging kidnapping.

One Twitter user, @ArapSwaleh, commented, “Next. This will become the trend. Until ‘kanjo’ askaris stop demanding bribes. He was after that money for fuel.”

Another user expressed, “Entering someone’s car abruptly and without permission, especially if you’re not a traffic officer, should come with these kinds of consequences.”

User @reginagathoni suggested, “I would have driven this fool right up to Sakaja’s office and dumped him there! These fools are lucky they have never entered my car! I cannot even describe the atrocities I would subject them to. It would make international news!”

However, one user criticized Ntazola’s actions, arguing that two wrongs don’t make a right. “You’ve essentially kidnapped this man! You’re harassing him and imprisoning him in your car! He should sue you for emotional abuse! Two wrongs don’t make a right.”

Hours after the video went viral, Gloria Ntazola took to TikTok to claim that her account had been suspended shortly after the video was posted. She stated, “Hi guys, so they’ve taken down my account. I no longer have my TikTok account because of that ‘kanjo’ incident. That’s okay, but that guy forcefully entered my car without my permission. I was simply trying to park my car.”
