Tanzanian music star and CEO of Wasafi Records, Diamond Platnumz, is making headlines across Zambia and Tanzania after performing at a high-profile private wedding in Zambia.
According to reports from reliable sources, the award-winning artist was flown to Zambia on a private jet, where he delivered an energetic performance at the lavish ceremony. For his appearance, he was reportedly paid around TSh 1.8 billion, which is approximately KSh 86.2 million or ZMW 18 million.
This isn’t the first time Diamond Platnumz has landed major performance deals outside Tanzania. In 2024, he was also hired to perform at a private wedding in Mombasa, Kenya, where he reportedly earned over KSh 100 million.
Diamond continues to be one of the most sought-after musicians in Africa for private events, thanks to his strong stage presence and wide fan base.
