President Samia Suluhu Hassan has addressed public speculation regarding her alleged involvement with the International Criminal Court (ICC), dismissing claims that she is confused or indecisive about the matter.
Speaking to the media, President Suluhu stated firmly that her mind is clear and focused. “Kuna watu wanataka niende ICC halafu mara wanasema eti nimechanganyikiwa. Mimi akili yangu iko sawa na ICC, sendi wataenda wao wenyewe!” she said, emphasizing that she has no intention of going to the court and that those making such claims are acting on their own agenda.
Her remarks come amid ongoing political chatter, where some observers have suggested she could be drawn into international legal proceedings. By addressing the issue directly, President Suluhu sought to clarify her stance and reassure the public of her composure and decision-making.
The president’s confident statement underscores her commitment to staying focused on governance while dismissing rumors that could distract from her administration’s work. Analysts note that her response reflects a broader strategy of maintaining clarity and decisiveness in the face of political pressure.
