Kariri Njama Demands Vote Recount; Claims UDA Are Rigging.

The IEBC has suspended the Kiambaa constituency vote tallying today, July 16, after Jubilee candidate.

Kariri Njama and his supporters stormed into the tallying center and caused chaos where they accused their rivals of vote rigging.

Meanwhile, Jubilee Party has trounced UDA in the hotly contested Muguga ward by elections, Kiambu County.

Jubilee candidate, Joseph Kinuthia Githinji emerged the winner with 4,089 votes followed by his UDA rival, Peter Kamau Thumbi who got 4,062 votes.

Thirdway Alliance party came in a distant third after their candidate, Moses Gichau was badly humiliated with 49 votes.

Reports by the IEBC indicates that a total of 8,342 votes were cast with 8,232 of the votes being verified while 110 were rejected.

The muguga ward seat fell vacant after the death of Eliud Ngige on March, 16 after he succumbed to Covid-19 at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
