Kalonzo Musyoka Urges Ruto’s Government To Fulfil It’s Promise By Reducing Unga To Ksh. 100

Kalonzo Musyoka, head of the Wiper party, has reiterated the importance of President William Ruto fulfilling his pledge to lower the price of Unga to Ksh 100. He has communicated to President Ruto the struggles faced by both his supporters and other citizens due to the high cost of living.

In addition to urging for Unga price reduction, Kalonzo Musyoka has underscored the necessity of subsidies to address the broader issue of the high cost of living, asserting that relying solely on fertilizer subsidies is insufficient to alleviate the challenges faced by Kenyans.

Criticism from Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and other officials from Azimio has been directed at President Ruto for allegedly resorting to propaganda rather than effectively tackling the reality of soaring living expenses. They argue that the promised reduction in the price of Unga has not been achieved, and thus, opposition leaders intend to sustain pressure on the government to take corrective action.

Kalonzo Musyoka has highlighted the significance of opposition leaders speaking out against the government’s inaction. He acknowledges his role in influencing the government to lower prices of certain food items but insists that more needs to be done.

However, it’s worth noting that President William Ruto’s decisive measures have indeed contributed to reducing the overall cost of living in the country. While opposition figures have consistently criticized the high cost of living, they have yet to present viable alternatives or counterarguments to President Ruto’s initiatives.
