Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism, a well-known televangelist, recently introduced a new, extravagant church bus that was purchased by members of his congregation. On Sunday, January 29th, Ng’ang’a shared the bus on his social media platforms and was seen driving it outside of the church with members of the church gathered around.
The pastor had previously encouraged members of his church to contribute funds to purchase the bus, stating that the old one was bought in 2001 and had served the church well. He reminded his congregation of 2 Corinthians 9:9-8, “Give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
The all-white luxury bus features a television set and a toilet accessible via a staircase behind some seats. The toilet also has a wash area with a mirror, sink, toilet paper rolls, and soap dispenser. The bus is expected to be used for church events and crusades and has comfortable, reclining seats and beautiful floral curtains, as well as tinted windows and a green number plate.
Ng’ang’a proudly stated that his wife and children had ridden in the bus on their way to church. He was amazed at the bus’ unique features, noting that he had never seen a bus with a toilet before. The televangelist and his congregation are excited to use the new luxury bus for their church activities.
