Speaking during a public event, Ida expressed disbelief at how people were spreading false information about Raila’s health, insisting that she lives with him and would be the first to know if he was indeed sick.
“If Baba was sick, I’d have taken him to Migori for treatment. How did you even know he’s sick, yet I’m the one who lives with him?” she remarked, drawing laughter and applause from the crowd.
Her statement comes amid online chatter following Raila’s recent trip to London, with some speculating it was for medical reasons. Ida, however, maintained that Raila is in perfect health and continues to engage actively in his duties and engagements.
She urged Kenyans to stop spreading misinformation and instead focus on supporting positive development in the country.
