Inooro TV News Anchor, Winrose Wangui has revealed that she had a very challenging teenage life experience before the fame.
In an interview with Kenya Diaspora Media, she said that her poor family could not afford her university fees hence making her venture in to a casual and a one time househelp.
“While in form 2 second term I was chased away from school and felt like I could not be able to go back to school so I went and found a house help job.I did the job for two weeks before my mum called me and took me back to school.
“After form four, I felt I had grown up and decided to go to Nairobi and work as a house help.I ran away from home and put my clothes in a kiondo.A family friend connected me to a family in Zambezi.I really pleaded with them not to call my family but they did three days later. After that the woman connected me to her sister where I worked for three months, her house help was away for three months.”
“I bumped into my aunt and told her I would go and live with her after my job and she told me I was welcome. She gave me accommodation while there I started hustling again.Among the jobs I did was working at a salon, selling furniture where I would be paid 3500, I also got a job in a supermarket but stopped working as it made me stop going to church.”
“People should not assume that I am proud or that I do not know what problems are.”
