Former police officer and popular content creator, Afande Deno, has finally broken his silence after being dismissed from the National Police Service.
In an emotional message, Deno revealed that his intention was never to cross the line but to use social media content to bridge the gap between officers and ordinary citizens.
“I was just trying to create a good relationship between Police and citizens through content creation. At the end of the day, I am an ordinary mwananchi like everyone else,” he wrote.
His statement comes days after his dismissal, which shocked many of his fans who had admired his light-hearted skits showcasing the human side of police officers.
Kenyans online have flooded his page with messages of encouragement, assuring him that his talent and creativity will continue to shine even outside the police service.
