Violet was taken aback when she suddenly began experiencing symptoms of pregnancy despite having an active contraceptive in place. Multiple pregnancy tests confirmed the news, revealing that she was seven weeks along despite having her Skyla IUD inserted for nine months prior.
Feeling nauseous for two weeks, which included sporadic bouts of vomiting, prompted Violet to take a pregnancy test. To her surprise, it came back positive. Skeptical, she decided to take several more tests to be sure, all of which came back positive as well. She ended up visiting the emergency room where her pregnancy was confirmed to be seven weeks along.
“If you are having any signs of pregnancy or if your period is late, I would recommend taking a test,” advised Violet.”They were all positive and I actually went to the ER and I was seven weeks pregnant. I would say if you are having any of those signs of pregnancy or if your period is late to take a test.”
