” I have Married 3 Wives and I Live With Them in The Same House”

Polygamy is a legally accepted practice in African culture, exemplified by Yowanakintu from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) who has embraced this tradition. Yowana is contentedly married to three wives, cohabiting harmoniously under one roof. Their relationship flourishes without any noteworthy controversies.

Yowana’s first wife has borne him seven sons, the second wife has six children, and the third wife has four children, resulting in a family of 20 individuals.

In an interview with Afrimax English, Yowanakintu revealed that his entry into polygamy was not a deliberate choice but a response to circumstances. Originally intending to have only one wife, an altercation with his initial spouse led her to leave and return to her parents for an extended period.

Struggling to manage his responsibilities alone, Yowana sought a second wife. Subsequently, the first wife returned, and through amicable resolution, they reconciled, with the first wife accepting her co-wife.

While enjoying life with his two wives, another disagreement arose, prompting both wives to depart and return to their respective parents. Undeterred, Yowana moved forward and married a third wife.

Upon settling with the third wife, the initial two wives returned. Through mutual agreement and understanding, they chose to coexist, leading Yowana to marry three wives.

They all reside in a single two-bedroom house, with the first wife occupying one bedroom and the other two wives and their children sharing the second. All three women express contentment, citing a reduction in workload and overall benefits from their communal living arrangement.

In their collective statement, they affirm that being a trio has not only lessened the burdens of daily tasks but has also proven highly advantageous to each of them. Yowana’s ability to satisfy and provide for all three wives contributes to their shared happiness and well-being.
