Gachagua hits back at Ruto-Kasongo tangu atoke Bondo kulia machozi ya uongo ati analilia Raila amechanganyikiwa.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has responded sharply to criticisms surrounding his political stance, addressing recent claims linked to President William Ruto and opposition figures.

Speaking candidly, Gachagua dismissed accusations that he or the government were divided, emphasizing the focus on delivering services and ensuring a smooth governance agenda.

“Tangu atoke Bondo, kulia machozi ya uongo. Ati analilia Raila amechanganyikiwa… Sisi hatutaki kugawa serikali, kazi yetu kubwa ni kukupeleka nyumbani,” he stated.

Gachagua also highlighted the emotional toll perceived by some political actors, referencing observations of Mama Ida Odinga recognizing Kalonzo Musyoka. He suggested that some leaders remain preoccupied with opposition politics, spending their nights and days in concern over political outcomes.

The Deputy President reinforced that the government’s priority is serving citizens and ensuring stability, rather than engaging in political infighting. Analysts note that such statements reflect Gachagua’s strategy to project unity within the ruling party while countering narratives that suggest internal division.

As Kenya’s political landscape continues to evolve ahead of upcoming elections, remarks like Gachagua’s underscore the rising tensions between government leaders and opposition forces, highlighting the ongoing contest for influence and public support.
