From Riches To poverty: Hellen Muthoni narrates her life after his father’s death SAD!

You may recognize her as the vibrant and cheerful face on Inooro TV, but behind her radiant smile lies a story of resilience and unwavering determination.

The captivating TV presenter has not only graced our screens with her infectious energy but also touched hearts with her gospel music. Muthoni is the epitome of beauty and brains, a role model for many.

Currently, she co-hosts the Rurumuka show alongside DJ Covenant on Inooro TV every Sunday. However, her journey to the spotlight began with her popular gospel hit, Ningukuona, which resonated deeply with many.

In an interview with Gikuyu Diaspora TV, Muthoni opened up about a life-altering experience—the tragic loss of her father in the 1998 Nairobi bomb blast. This devastating event turned her life upside down, forcing her to navigate uncharted waters at a tender age.

Muthoni grew up in a privileged environment, where she was chauffeured to and from school daily. However, this life of comfort was short-lived. After her father’s sudden demise, she and her four siblings had to leave Nairobi and relocate to their rural home under the care of their mother. Life took a challenging turn as her family struggled to adjust to their new reality.

Despite the hardships, Muthoni discovered her gift for music early on. At just seven years old, she wrote her first lyrics, showcasing her budding talent. Her struggles were compounded when her father’s family disowned them, evicting them from their home the very day he passed away.

As her mother’s health declined, Muthoni took on the responsibility of caring for her younger sibling. She credits her unshakable faith to her grandmother, a devout Christian, whose influence became a source of strength and inspiration.

The challenges didn’t end there. When she switched schools, Muthoni faced ridicule from teachers and classmates who mocked her past privileged lifestyle. The taunts and bullying left such an impact that she even shaved her hair to avoid further judgment. Despite these setbacks, Muthoni persevered, and with the support of her sister’s husband, she was able to complete her high school education—a gesture she remains deeply grateful for.
