‎Former Mashtaka Actor Joel Otukho cries out At his Only Son’s Burial, Alleges Foul Play

‎Former Mashtaka actor Joel Otukho is mourning the death of his young son in an emotional ceremony that has left Kenyans shaken.

‎The veteran performer, who rose to fame through roles in popular TV dramas, broke down during his child’s funeral as he gave a heartfelt tribute and demanded answers about what really happened.

‎The funeral, held at his rural home, was filled with sorrowful hymns and heavy silence as relatives, friends, and colleagues gathered to comfort the family.

‎Dressed in black and holding back tears, Otukho said his son’s death had raised serious questions. Although he did not go into full detail, he hinted that foul play could have been involved.

‎“The pain of burying your own child is beyond words,” Otukho said, his voice trembling.

‎“We gave him life, but now all we have is his photo on our chests. We believe God has received him, but on this earth, someone must answer for what happened.”

‎The actor suggested that his son may have been involved in an accident caused by negligence.

‎According to him, the people linked to the tragedy never came forward to speak to the family or even apologise.

‎“It is painful to watch others move on with their lives as if nothing happened,” he added.

‎As he spoke, Otukho held close a woman standing beside him, asking mourners to pray for her.

‎He described her as someone who had struggled through many challenges and now faced another unbearable loss.

‎The video of the funeral has since spread across social media, drawing reactions from Kenyans who offered messages of comfort.

‎Many sympathised with the actor, urging him to seek justice for his child.

‎“It is not every pain you leave to God,” one commenter wrote. “Some things require answers here on earth.”

‎Otukho has remained silent on whether the family will pursue legal action, but his emotional words suggest he is determined to get clarity.

‎The tragic loss comes as another Kenyan artist, Rupees Music, also buried her young son after he was killed in a road accident involving a school bus.
