Former Citizen TV presenter Jacque Maribe has given a hint about her potential reentry into the media industry after an extended absence.
In a recent post on her Instagram page, Maribe alluded to the end of her prolonged break and suggested that she could be making a fresh comeback to the media, possibly commencing from September 1.
“On September 1, 2022, I decided to share my stories exclusively here on IG… Well, should that decision change on September 1, 2023? The hiatus is over. Stay tuned…” Maribe expressed.
Maribe, once a prominent political journalist and a well-known face on Royal Media Services, captured attention when she and her former partner Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie, were charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani in 2018.
The legal proceedings of the case had significant repercussions, leading to Maribe’s absence from television screens during the ongoing trial.
In a ruling made in March, Justice Idris Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts affirmed that Maribe and Jowie must address the case against them.
While Maribe did not reveal details about the media outlet she plans to join or the nature of her prospective show, her admirers were thrilled to witness her potential return to broadcasting.
“Welcome back, queen,” applauded comedian DJ Shit.
“Emerging after challenges is always a testament to one’s strength,” noted another individual.
“I continue to hold optimistic expectations for your resurgence… Go, girl đ„đ„đ„,” Mantashaa chimed in.
“Jackie, we’ve missed you. Trust you’re keeping well,” conveyed Nyambura Sophie.
