Kisii-based artist Christopher Mosioma, widely recognized as Embarambamba, has once again stirred controversy with his recent song, which he claims to be gospel music.
Embarambamba has released a fresh track titled ‘Panua,’ which, when loosely translated, carries explicit connotations in the Kenyan cultural context.
The music video commences with the controversial singer sprinting down the road while being pursued by individuals intent on attacking him.
In another scene, the musician assumes a suggestive posture as he reclines on a rooftop.
In the lyrics, Embarambamba sings, “Ehh naskia nikugonge iiii panua, ehhh panua. Panua panua, panua sasa panua. Panua sasa nimeanza kazi. Panua panua nakuamini sana.”
Embarambamba’s latest song premiered on YouTube on October 8, 2023, and as of the time of this article’s publication, it had accumulated just over 12,000 views.
Despite the explicit sexual innuendos prevalent in Embarambamba’s songs, the artist consistently maintains that he is a gospel musician.
