There was drama after a thief was arrested stealing bananas and claimed that he committed the crime to buy his nagging girlfriend makeups.
According to reports, the young man was caught on Monday, 24 May, in Sagbama area.
Upon interrogations, the man claimed that he stole because of his girlfriend who has been complaining that he does not meet her demands.
He said that the girlfriend requested him to get Ksh 5,550 to buy makeup and gave him a deadline for breakup if he did not get the money.
The young man said that he got frustrated since the deadline was fast approaching hence resorting to the crime.
He also revealed that he has been snicking into people’s farms and harvest the banana bunches which he had planned to sell inn order to please his girlfriend.
He however went on to plead with the community to forgive him for the mistake and vowed never to repeat again.
