DCI Releases Photo Of Wanted Man Behind Hacking Of A Mobile Money App

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) released a photograph of Kelvin Kiprono, identifying him as a suspect in a case involving impersonation and unauthorized access to a computer system, which was reported at Parklands Police Station.

According to DCI’s statement, Kelvin Kiprono was granted cash bail on December 19, 2023, pending the conclusion of investigations into the matter. However, he failed to comply with the scheduled reporting requirements.

The statement suggests that Kiprono is alleged to have hacked into a mobile money application, resulting in significant financial losses, before going into hiding.

DCI has urged the public to provide any information they may have regarding Kiprono’s whereabouts. They can do so by calling the toll-free number or by visiting the nearest police station.

Furthermore, DCI has issued a warrant for Kiprono’s arrest and has requested him to surrender himself to any police station for further legal proceedings.

In summary, the DCI is actively seeking the cooperation of the public in locating Kelvin Kiprono, a suspect in a case of computer system breach, and is urging Kiprono himself to turn himself in to the authorities.
