Carrol Muthoni, also known as Carol Sonie, former partner of the Kenyan comedian and radio presenter, Mulamwah, recently took to social media to reminisce about some of the actions she took while deeply in love with him.
In a social media post, Carrol Muthoni shared a moment of nostalgia as she browsed through her Google photos, recalling a time when her love for Mulamwah led her to make some unconventional choices. She humorously mentioned that she once quit her job because of her affection for a man, using the phrase, “Uweh niko hapa google photos reminding me some silly things I did for love. Ghai, I quit my job because of a maaan. Muthoni Ma?”
While Carrol did not explicitly mention Mulamwah as the man she referred to, it’s well-known that he is her former boyfriend and the father of her child.
Encouraging her followers to share their own experiences of doing unusual things for love, one fan disclosed that they had turned down a scholarship opportunity to study in Canada, while another shared a story about selling their grandmother’s sewing machine to provide money to their boyfriend for the purchase of a phone.
Mulamwah and Carol Sonnie went through a highly publicized breakup in 2021, marked by allegations of infidelity on Carol’s part, which were openly discussed on social media by the comedian. Their split led to a series of contentious exchanges on social media, where they didn’t shy away from airing their grievances in public.
However, in the early part of this year, Carol Sonnie expressed that she had no regrets about ending her relationship with Mulamwah. Currently, Mulamwah is in a relationship with his close friend Ruth K, and they recently celebrated a traditional wedding ceremony.
