Police in Bungoma are investigating the death of a woman who was Beds killed by her husband.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Metrine Wandera, was hacked to death by the suspect, who surrendered himself to the authorities.
He alleged that he found her in a compromising position with another man on their matrimonial bed on February 11, 2026.
He told the police that he killed her and fled in fear of being killed by residents.
He also revealed that the other man managed to flee from the scene.
He was detained and led the police to where the incident occurred. The body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary pending autopsy and other procedures.
Police called on residents to remain calm as investigations continue, adding that anyone with information should come forward.
The suspect was taken back into custody ahead of his appearance in court.
Residents condemned the murder, urging couples in troubled relationships to seek help.
