Caren Chebet was going about her usual task of ministering during a crusade when a photo of her playing the piano while carrying her sleeping child on her back went viral. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the mother of two shared her surprise at the unexpected attention. She explained, “I was at a crusade aimed at raising money for the church. It is my tradition to play the piano for my church, and my baby was sleeping, so I did not want to give the little one away. It never bothered me since I am used to doing all that alone.”
The Journey to Online Fame:
Chebet admitted she was stunned by the viral reaction. “It never occurred to me I could trend online. My friends came and showed me how I was trending, and I was wowed,” she said. Chebet’s friends were the ones who informed her of her newfound online fame.

Learning the Piano:
Chebet revealed that her love for playing the piano began in Class 7. When her church acquired the instrument, she was determined to learn it. “Many wanted to learn it, but when kids went back to school, no one could play it. I purposed in my heart to fill that gap,” she recalled.
Balancing Music and Family Life:
Apart from her musical talents, Chebet is also a farmer. She explained that home farming allows her to care for her children and spend quality time with them while helping her husband fend for the family.
Eric Omondi’s Similar Gesture:
In a related story, comedian Eric Omondi was seen carrying his daughter Kyla on his back while cooking. The video, which showed Omondi preparing a meal in his posh kitchen, received praise from social media users for his hands-on parenting.
