Popular Kenyan singer and Sauti Sol member Bien-Aimé Baraza has sparked buzz online after opening up about how he and his wife, Chiki Kuruka, handle finances in their marriage.
Speaking in a recent interview, Bien revealed that after Sauti Sol members decided to focus on solo projects, he chose to make Chiki his official manager. This decision came around the time they were getting married, and it marked a major turning point in their relationship—especially when it comes to money matters.
Bien disclosed that he granted Chiki full access to his finances, including bank PINs and account balances. In return, he also has complete access to her financial accounts. According to Bien, there’s no “his money” or “her money” in their household—it’s all shared.
“When it comes to paying bills, we just use whichever account has money. There’s no separation. It’s all ours,” Bien stated.
He added that this open and transparent approach has not only made bill payments seamless but has also strengthened their bond over time.
