Betty Bayo, a renowned gospel musician from Kenya, recently revealed details about her past relationship, clarifying that she was never married to the controversial pastor Victor Kanyari. Her revelation took place during the filming of the gospel reality show called “Oh Sister.”
Betty emphasized that she is not a divorcee since she had never been married before. Currently, she is happily married to a wonderful man, but unfortunately, people tend to associate her only with her previous relationship. She metaphorically stated that just like unused items in one’s home are discarded, only mentally unstable individuals return to the trash. Therefore, she firmly asserted that she has moved on from her past.
Over the years, there had been speculation surrounding Betty’s marital status, with many assuming that she was married to Victor Kanyari, especially because they have three children together. However, Betty clarified that she never considered their relationship to be a marriage.
During the reality show, Betty openly shared that she had not taken the necessary time to truly understand Victor Kanyari before entering into a committed relationship with him. She admitted her mistake of not researching his background and neglecting to consider important factors like character and personality compatibility. As a result, they had numerous disagreements, with every topic becoming an argument.
