Bahati on changing Wedding dates kila saa: Sio Mimi, Ni Diana

Musician Kevin Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua, have once again addressed the reasons behind the delay of their highly anticipated white wedding.

In a recent media interview, Bahati, a father of four, revealed that their planned October 20th wedding, which was to coincide with their anniversary, has been postponed. The reason for the delay, he noted, lies with Diana.

“We had scheduled our wedding for October 20, our anniversary, but now Diana has been the one postponing it every day. It’s no longer up to me,” Bahati shared.

Despite this setback, Bahati remains hopeful, suggesting that the wedding might take place in February. However, he expressed uncertainty due to Diana’s ongoing indecision.

“I think she’s considering a date in February, so I don’t want to speak about it before she makes it official. I’ve been announcing dates, and it’s starting to make me look like I’m just seeking attention,” he added.

Bahati also expressed his frustration with the frequent delays, recounting, “You wake up and plan a December 12th wedding, then Diana says, ‘Babe, people are busy that time, we’ll be traveling…’ I’m like, ‘But it’s your day. It’s all about you.’ She even brought it up on Netflix, so I suggested October 20th, but… I guess it’s up to her now.”

Diana candidly admitted her role in the postponement, confessing that she isn’t ready for the wedding and is not entirely sure why.

“Weddings give me a lot of anxiety… We’ve had this conversation, and he asks me, ‘Babe, why do you keep postponing?’ I just tell him, ‘I want to be ready.’ He asks, ‘Ready for what?’ and I say, ‘I don’t even know, but I just want to be ready.’ I think I’m not mentally prepared yet, but I’m working on it,” Diana explained.

She hinted that the wedding might finally happen next year, though she refrained from providing any specific dates.
