A senior executive at a water supply company in Nakuru has found himself at the center of a domestic dispute involving a female employee and her estranged husband.
According to reports filed at a local police post, the husband, Duncan Mwangi, confronted the pair at a hotel after receiving information that raised his suspicions. He claimed he had been concerned about the nature of the relationship between his wife, who serves as a customer care officer, and her supervisor.
The incident, which took place late in the evening, saw officers from Free Area Police Post called to the scene. The individuals were briefly held for questioning and later released. An official complaint was recorded under OB No 15/17/4/2025.
Mwangi alleged that he had noticed unusual communication patterns between his wife and her superior dating as far back as 2013, and that these interactions eventually affected their marriage. He also expressed concerns over the circumstances surrounding her professional advancement.
In response, the woman clarified that she no longer lives with her husband and had moved out of their shared home some time ago. She cited long-standing marital issues, including allegations of emotional and physical mistreatment, as the reason for the separation. She added that efforts had been made to distort her image and strain her professional relationships.
The situation has now escalated into a legal process, with both parties presenting their side of the story to relevant authorities. The woman, who has been in the marriage since 2002 and formalized it in 2015, said she is pursuing a divorce and is focused on moving forward with her life.
