Ruto hit by a flying shoe while addressing Crowd in Migori

President William Ruto remained composed during a public address in Migori County on Sunday, May 4, after a brief interruption during his speech.

In a video accessed by muranganews, the President was delivering his remarks when a minor incident briefly disrupted the rally. Despite the unexpected moment, Ruto continued his speech without pause, maintaining his focus on the developmental message.

The Head of State began his day by attending an Interdenominational Prayer Service at Kadika Primary School in Suna East. He then proceeded to Piny Oyie where he officially opened the Suna East Sub County Office and laid the foundation stone for the Suna West Technical and Vocational College.

“We are strengthening our local administration to ensure it is fully equipped to serve the people efficiently. Also laid the foundation stone for Suna West Technical and Vocational College, which will enhance access to technical training in the region,” the President stated.

Later, Ruto visited Kuria West, where he launched the construction of the 298-unit Kehancha Affordable Housing Project, part of the government’s broader housing agenda.

“We are implementing a transformative development agenda that will ensure that no part of our country is marginalized or left behind,” he said.

This tour comes at a time when the nation is still coming to terms with the loss of Kasipul MP Charles Were, who tragically passed away in Nairobi County on April 30. ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale urged for calm and unity in light of the unfortunate developments.
