Days after announcing her split from her Mzungu husband, Denis Schweitzer Omosh, Kenyan singer Akothee has revealed the date for her upcoming wedding.
Akothee shared this news in a social media post, addressing her longtime friend Dr. Ofweneke. In her message, the outspoken singer emphasized the importance of leaving marriages that have lost their flavor.
She playfully urged Ofweneke to get ready for the MC job on December 9th, hinting at her future plans. Akothee’s post suggested that she was moving forward with her life and was unapologetic about her decisions.
“Babe, you can’t force something that’s not working, even the sweetest candy loses its taste đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł. You better get paid as an MC or are you an MCA? Save the date, December 9th, 2023. It’s my year @drofweneke. Just forward your bank details. Stop asking questions,” she humorously wrote.
Earlier, Akothee made headlines when she announced her separation from her Mzungu husband, Denis Schweitzer (Omosh), just two months after their colorful wedding attended by politicians and celebrities.
In a detailed post, the ‘Niko Single’ hitmaker shared that she had been undergoing a healing process, without explicitly stating the reasons for the breakup. Akothee mentioned experiencing trauma and emotional turmoil after discovering unpleasant truths, with dishonesty being cited as one of the contributing factors.
“I have emerged from a dangerous zone and have been privately healing. I am in my second month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth left me shaken. There were days without food and sleep, questioning and answering myself. It has been heavy. Some days turned into nights as I gazed out of the window with no explanation for the shaking. Nellyoaks has been on speed dial, panicking when my phone went off. My children, especially the girls, ensured we FaceTimed to check if I was okay. Rue followed me to Europe, babysitting me until I could stand on my feet,” she revealed.
