The king of ethnic venom Rigathi Gachagua was in Mai Mahiu to popularize his party~Lee Kinyanjui

Former Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has strongly criticised Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of using political platforms to spread hate.

Kinyanjui referred to Gachagua as “the king of ethnic venom” after the DP visited Mai Mahiu to promote his party. While acknowledging the right to divergent opinions, Kinyanjui condemned what he described as the hijacking of public spaces by “hate mongers.”

“You should not expect to recruit blind followers in your quest to settle personal grudges and revenge. Fight your wars; Kenya is greater than you,” Kinyanjui said, accusing Gachagua of a career dedicated to political vendettas—from former President Mwai Kibaki’s era, through Uhuru Kenyatta, and now President William Ruto.

He further questioned who would be Gachagua’s next target, asserting that Kenya would progress faster without leaders he considers divisive.

The remarks add to ongoing debates about ethnic politics and political rhetoric in Kenya, highlighting tensions between senior leaders as the country prepares for future elections.
