‎EXPOSED: DCI Finally Reveals the Weapon a Musician Used to Kill Pastor Kanyari’s Sister

‎New details have emerged in the murder case of socialite Starlet Wahu, as detectives revealed the weapon believed to have been used in the killing, linking it to musician John Matara.

‎During the hearing at the Milimani High Court, a police officer told the court that the scene where Wahu was found was shocking and showed signs of a violent struggle.

‎The officer said investigators recovered a kitchen knife from the apartment where the incident occurred.

‎The officer told the court that the knife presented in court was the same weapon recovered from the apartment.

‎A government analyst from the Government Chemist further strengthened the prosecution case.

‎Emily Okworo testified that DNA tests carried out on blood samples from the scene matched those taken from Wahu’s body.

‎She told the court that blood found on a knife and a white towel belonged to the deceased.

‎Ms Okworo also revealed that semen found in a used condom recovered from the apartment matched the DNA profile of the accused.

‎She explained that all the stains tested were confirmed to be human blood and were consistent with the deceased.

‎Under questioning by defence lawyers, the analyst admitted that some samples also contained blood matching the Matara profile, suggesting he may have been injured during the incident.

‎She clarified that another unidentified blood sample was collected near the main gate and not inside the room.

‎The court also heard from a security guard who said he saw Matara leaving the building wearing bloodstained clothes and carrying a towel.

‎Wahu was the youngest sister of Nairobi preacher Victor Kanyari. Matara has denied the charge and remains in custody as the hearing continues.
