Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has publicly criticized Pastor Ng’ang’a, responding sharply to earlier comments about a family incident involving Sonko’s son-in-law. In a heated message, Sonko used strong language to express his disapproval, questioning the pastor’s conduct and authority in the matter.
“Ng’ang’a, it seems you are still under the influence of foolish habits. You are growing old badly. Come slowly and reduce the harsh words you keep spreading,” Sonko said, addressing the pastor directly. He challenged Ng’ang’a’s stance on the family confrontation, questioning whether the pastor would accept such behavior toward his own children.
Sonko further expressed frustration at what he saw as inappropriate interference in private family matters. “Do you want my child to be beaten quietly while you stand by? Or do you not have children of your own?” he asked. He also suggested that the pastor’s presence at future family events, such as funerals, should be measured and respectful.
The exchange underscores the growing public attention surrounding private family disputes among public figures. It also highlights the challenges of maintaining privacy and respect when personal matters become fodder for social commentary and public debate.
Sonko’s remarks serve as a warning against overstepping boundaries in family affairs, emphasizing that respect, discretion, and humility are essential—regardless of one’s social or religious influence.
