Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has surprised many after publicly announcing that she will not be defending her seat in the 2027 General Election.
Passaris, who has served two terms, said she has instead chosen to endorse Senator Karen Nyamu for the Nairobi Woman Representative position.
“I am endorsing Karen Nyamu for Women Rep Nairobi County. I will not be running in 2027,” Passaris declared, signaling a major shift in Nairobi’s political landscape.
