Coast-based political leader Zamzam has delivered a strong message to Kisumu Senator Edwin Sifuna, asserting that ODM will continue to operate independently and cannot be forced out by any individual.
Speaking during a political gathering, Zamzam addressed recent tensions within ODM, where some leaders have threatened to leave due to disagreements over party leadership and direction.
“Sifuna, kama hutaki kukaa kwa chama shika njia uende, lakini huwezi kututoa sisi kwa chama. Pwani tutakaa na chama ya ODM,” Zamzam declared, signaling that the party remains firmly united on the Coast and will continue to pursue its agenda.
Political analysts note that the remarks underscore the ongoing internal struggles within ODM, highlighting the challenge of balancing party loyalty with individual ambitions. Zamzam’s statement also serves as a reminder that the party has deep roots across Kenya, particularly along the Coast, where it commands significant support.
Observers say the exchange between Zamzam and Sifuna reflects broader debates within Kenyan politics over party loyalty, leadership succession, and regional representation, especially as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election.
