Baby Top Joins Support Drive: KSh 200,000 Gift While Kiengei Raises KSh 2M for Kaluma Mother

Popular preacher and media personality Muthee Kiengei spearheaded a powerful and emotional fundraiser that saw Kaluma Boy’s family receive overwhelming support during a thanksgiving ceremony held at JCM Church in Ruiru.

The event turned emotional when the crowd erupted in cheers after Baby Top made a surprise contribution of KSh 200,000 to help Kaluma’s mother start a new business. The touching moment was captured on video and quickly went viral online, with Kenyans praising the compassion and generosity shown by Kiengei and fellow well-wishers.

The thanksgiving service came barely a week after a group of TikTokers visited Kaluma’s humble home in Othaya, where he has been documenting his journey caring for his ailing father, who suffered a stroke more than a year ago.

Kaluma’s heartfelt videos about his struggles and devotion to his father had earlier moved thousands of Kenyans, sparking a wave of nationwide empathy and fundraising efforts.

During Sunday’s thanksgiving event, thousands of guests turned up to show their appreciation and contribute towards improving the family’s living conditions.

Among the key announcements made was a generous donation of a one-acre plot of land in Chaka, offered by Muthee Kiengei and MoFarm, the church’s chairwoman. The land will be used to build Kaluma’s new home, marking a new chapter of hope for the young TikToker and his family.
