My name is Chipo, and I come from Lusaka, Zambia. I grew up with my father and stepmother after my mother passed away when I was very young. Life with my stepmother was never easy. It started when I developed a strange illness. My legs began swelling and burning with pain. At first, I thought it was an infection or a minor sickness, but it quickly became worse. I could not walk properly, and the pain was unbearable. My father rushed me to the hospital, and the doctors tried everything they could. I stayed there for weeks without improvement.
