Kayole, Nairobi: A woman whose building was demolished in Kayole, Nairobi, has decried the way it was brought down, and cost her millions of shillings.

Speaking to Mutembei TV, the woman from Soweto in Kayole, shared that she started with only a few houses and later borrowed loans to extend it to become even bigger.
“Just look, this is not a small house, all these materials are mine. It is was a very big fortune,” she said.
“Millions gone in a day; do they want to kill me? Imagine all these gone in a day. Our houses were demolished when we didn’t even have money for anything, this is inhumane,” she added.
The woman shared that she used to take her loans from Equity Bank, but thankfully, she had finished paying them off.
Where is Nyamavilla area in Nairobi?
The angry woman’s sentiments were echoed by other people in Kayole, with a good example being an elderly woman in the Nyamavilla area who refused to leave her building even as a bulldozer faced her squarely in the face.
Despite cries from members of the public, the woman refused to leave until her house started going down.

Woodley residents seek assurance on compensation
Another story revealed that following the demolition of 43 houses in Woodley Estate, residents in Lot 2 were concerned that their homes would be next

As such, the residents asked for assurance that they would be given houses once the construction was complete.
