In a recent interview with Ankali Ray, Kenyan DJ Slahver discussed the reasons behind his breakup with gospel singer Nicah the Queen.
Financial difficulties emerged as a significant factor, as DJ Slahver revealed. He attributed their decision to part ways to a fraudulent incident from the previous year. Specifically, while organizing an event featuring Chris Brown, he fell victim to a scam that left him financially devastated. The DJ had partnered with individuals, including one based in Dubai, but the deception took its toll, ultimately leading him to resign from his job.
“Last year, I was organizing an event to bring Chris Brown, and that’s where the problems began. I was conned,” DJ Slahver explained. “I had partnered with two individuals, one of whom was living in Dubai, but unfortunately, I was scammed. It affected me to the point where I had to resign. Financially, it hit me hard, and I think that mostly contributed to our breakup.”
When asked about Nicah’s response to his situation, DJ Slahver acknowledged her patience and support during difficult times.
“She has been patient, she has held me down. I can’t speak ill of her, but maybe after I’ve bounced back, sorted my things out, maybe we can reconsider. For now, my focus is on hustling,” DJ Slahver expressed.
Despite their challenges, DJ Slahver denied any rumors of infidelity and expressed gratitude for Nicah’s steadfastness throughout their relationship.
Nicah the Queen had announced their split on her Instagram a day earlier, noting it was a mutual decision reached after careful consideration.
This breakup marks another chapter in their tumultuous relationship, having publicly split before in April 2022, citing the complexities of love.
