Drama as Murang’a Police officer is arrested for violently robbing a Tuk Tuk rider Sh 1,100

Detectives in Kandara are investigating another episode of police misconduct, in which a cop is accounted for having robbed a Tuk TUK rider Sh1,100.

In an incident booked at Kabati Police Station in Murang’a county last evening, the complainant described how the cop flagged to his Piaggio Tuk, registration number KTWA 546X, before he supposedly made a demand of Sh2,000.

At the point when the driver failed to part with the cash, the officer purportedly grabbed Sh300 that the driver was holding. He further force his way into his pockets and robbed him off a further Sh800, leaving his pants torn.

The distressed Tuk driver raised alert and Police Officers from Kabati Police Station led by the OCS, rushed to the location of the incident.

The said police officer was arrested and placed in custody. Investigations concerning the incident are ongoing with the aim of bringing justice to the Tuk driver, and making the officer responsible for his activities whenever found guilty.
