In real life, he goes by the name Joel Mungai among those who are close to him. Collaborating with the renowned Muthoni wa Kirumba, he co-hosts the mid-morning show titled ‘Cajamuka.’
With a career spanning over 25 years in the comedy industry, Kihenjo has become a household name, especially among the Kikuyu community in central Kenya, thanks to his humorous satire. His popularity skyrocketed a few years ago, making him the talk of every young child in the region.
Beyond his radio endeavors, Kihenjo hosts his own comedy show on Kameme FM daily at 7:30 PM, captivating audiences with his unique brand of humor. In the earlier years of his career, he gained recognition for his performances in tattered clothes, adorned with white beards and a walking stick, creating the appearance of an old mzee (elder).
