This old saying by an unknown person seems to have motivated one Shem Beverton Mukalo from Emuhaya village of Vihiga County after he poured out his undying love for Ngina Kenyatta.
The 30-year-old son of a Sugarcane cutter first came into the limelight after he wrote a romantic love letter to 31-year-old, Ngina Kenyatta.
In an interview with Kiss, Shem revealed that he meant every word detailed in his letter to the daughter of Kenya’s president, Uhuru Kenyatta.
“People were telling me that the intelligence officers are going to come for me. But I told them this is just a letter celebrating a great woman, I haven’t abused anyone. Why should I be afraid? They are just human like me. My conscience is clear coz I was just appreciating a great woman,” he said.
Shem said that he decided to write the letter to Ngina after his girlfriend broke up with him.
“I have a romantic interest in her. I know very well that is punching above my weight because she is a member of the higher society.If it comes sooner, well and good. I am just hopeful. I am also aware of the fact that it might not happen. I am hoping for the best and at the same time, preparing for the worst. I am ready for the worst,” the man from Kakamega said.
Shem also added that he is ready to meet the president to make clear of his intentions.
“If I did not want to have him as my father-in-law, I wouldn’t have taken the struggle of writing that romantic letter.”
The man added that he doesn’t mind Ngina being an year older saying that age is just but a number and true love can beat all odds.
He also noted that ladies on social media have been flocking his Facebook account since he made the move on one of the country’s high society member but said that his eyes are focused on getting Ngina.
