TikTok luminary Njoki Murira recently faced a setback as she lost control of her TikTok account, boasting an impressive 2.7 million followers. She took to her Instagram stories to provide an update, sharing screenshots that confirmed the suspension of her account, albeit without divulging the specific reasons for the action.
Addressing the situation with a touch of optimism, Njoki remarked, “When TikTok try you,” hinting that the suspension might be temporary and expressing hope for regaining control. Emphasizing this point, she stated, “My main account is on temporary suspension; there is a possibility.”
Facing potential financial repercussions due to the suspension, the content creator swiftly implemented a contingency plan. She created a new TikTok account and encouraged her dedicated fan base to migrate and follow her on the fresh platform. Remarkably, the new account rapidly garnered a substantial following, with the number steadily increasing.
Njoki Murira initially gained fame through her captivating dance content, a predominant feature on her original TikTok account. In a previous interview, she emphasized the financial opportunities in content creation, revealing that she amassed Sh3.4 million within a five-month period through the platform. The revenue predominantly originated from live sessions where thousands of fans engaged with her content.
Setting an example of utilizing her earnings responsibly, Njoki invested part of her income in constructing a lavish, fully-furnished house for her parents. Documenting the entire process, she kept her followers updated through videos showcasing the various stages of the construction, which commenced in January. By August of the same year, she proudly unveiled the finished three-bedroom house via a video shared on her YouTube channel.
