Vaga Genius, the manager of embattled artist Stivo Simple Boy, has unveiled startling revelations about his challenging tenure overseeing the career of the “Freshi Barida” sensation.
Having recently terminated his contract with the artist, Vaga Genius has chosen to shed light on the taxing journey he endured in his attempt to elevate Stivo Simple Boy to international acclaim.
In a candid conversation with comedian Obinna, Vaga Genius opened up about the extensive sacrifices he made to facilitate Stivo Simple Boy’s progress in the music industry.
In his capacity as a manager, Vaga Genius detailed that he fulfilled the full spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from catering to Stivo’s living expenses, encompassing housing, sustenance, and clothing.
However, Vaga Genius revealed a poignant personal cost to his dedication. He recounted the ordeal of losing his romantic partner, attributing the breakdown of their relationship to his unwavering focus on bolstering Stivo Simple Boy’s brand.
Vaga recounted, “Even my girlfriend parted ways with me due to Stivo Simple Boy. She couldn’t comprehend why I was dedicating such substantial effort to Stivo rather than to her or our relationship. My sole intent was to aid a fellow artist in realizing his aspirations.”
These revelations were prompted by Stivo and his current partner’s accusations that Vaga Genius had misappropriated the artist’s earnings.
Stivo and his partner had previously asserted in multiple interviews that Vaga Genius had detrimentally impacted their livelihoods by failing to sustain the level of financial support that marked the initial stages of their collaboration.
In his defense, Vaga Genius clarified that Stivo had not amassed as much money as the public discourse suggested. He disclosed that during the year of his association with Stivo Simple Boy, the artist participated in only five performances, resulting in earnings of less than KSh 500k.
Vaga Genius underscored that on numerous occasions, he delved into his personal resources to finance various projects and obligations on behalf of Stivo.
Remarkably, Vaga Genius often exceeded the funds generated by Stivo Simple Boy for the betterment of both parties involved.
