Murang’a County boss, Mwangi Wa Iria has launched his own Kikuyu TV and radio stations.
According to sources at the station dubbed as Gicicio FM/TV, the after launch party was made privately as the owner Mwangi Wa Iria, wanted to keep a low key on ownership.
The station’s have ready frequencies for the Nairobi and Mt Kenya Region’s which has a majority of Kikuyu speaking citizens.
Notably, the Murang’a County Governor has declared his interest in running for presidency ahead of August General Elections under his own party, Usawa Kwa Wote.
His move to launch a station according to analysts, is seen as a charm offensive to be ahead of his competitors who also seek the same position.
