Police in Kisii County have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a 48-year-old woman whose body was discovered in a shallow grave in Kiamabundu Sub-County.
The grim discovery was made by the assistant chief and members of the Nyumba Kumi community policing team. According to authorities, bad weather conditions initially hampered efforts to recover the body immediately after it was found.
Preliminary reports indicate that police suspect foul play and have since arrested a 72-year-old man believed to have been the victim’s boyfriend. The suspect is currently in custody as detectives continue their investigation.
