Generation Z is evidently taking over, not only in Kenya but also across the world. These young people (born between 1997 and 2012) have new avenues to generate revenue, unlike their parents and grandparents, who mostly relied on traditional (analog) jobs.
The invention of more advanced technology and social media has helped the vibrant and energetic Gen-Z in Kenya make fortunes from the comfort of their homes.
TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram are among the high paying social media platforms where this young generation makes money.
However, there are a handful of people in this generation who have amassed huge sums of money compared to their peers.
In this segment, muranganews explores a sample of the Gen-Z making millions in Kenya.

Eve Mungai, 24, is a social media influencer, and she boasts over 100 million YouTube subscribers and a sizable number of followers on Instagram. The controversial content creator rose to fame during the Corona virus pandemic in Kenya in 2020.
