Winnie Odinga, daughter of Azimio leader Raila Odinga, has opened up about the pressure she faces from the public regarding marriage and motherhood, saying she will live life on her own terms.
Speaking candidly, Winnie dismissed societal expectations that women must marry or have children at a certain age, insisting that she is in no rush to settle down.
“I’ll do whatever I want with my body, whenever I want to. I haven’t found the right person yet. If there are men out there who are eligible, they can just come and talk to me nicely,” she said.
The youthful leader noted that she is still in her thirties and focused on enjoying life while pursuing her ambitions. “I’m not in a hurry to get married; I’m still young and living life to the fullest. It’s not like I’m always at home cooking onions and tomatoes,” she added jokingly.
Winnie further stated that she could even choose to have a child later in life if she wished, saying, “I can even have a baby in my eighties if I want to.”
She revealed that she is currently focused on personal growth and happiness after enduring a challenging phase in her life. Her bold remarks have sparked conversations online, with many praising her for promoting self-empowerment and independence among young women.
