Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has sparked debate after issuing a fiery message to men who neglect their children.
In an Instagram story posted on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the mother of two blasted financially stable men who fail to provide for their kids, urging them to opt for vasectomy if they are unwilling to take responsibility.
“Deadbeats have no excuse,” Vera declared.
“If you’re financially stable and still refuse to support your child, you shouldn’t even call yourself a father. Do everyone a favour and get a vasectomy.”
While acknowledging that genuine financial struggles can affect parenting, Vera stressed that abandonment is unacceptable. She also urged Kenya to consider a mandatory child support system to protect children and ease the burden on single mothers.
Her remarks come amid renewed scrutiny over her co-parenting arrangement with ex-partner Brown Mauzo. Some netizens questioned why Mauzo, who allegedly does not contribute financially, is still allowed in her home.
Vera defended her decision, saying her children’s emotional well-being comes first. She explained that when she travels, Mauzo stays with their children and the nannies, ensuring they always have a parent present.
Sharing CCTV footage of her kids joyfully running to Mauzo, Vera added: “Their bond is unbreakable.”
