Police in Migori are holding a 42-year lady for defiling a 14 year old class 8 boy.
The lady was arrested on Saturday evening after locals discovered the lady with the teen at her home in Nyamaraga, Suna West Sub County.
Area Assistant Chief, Evance Nyarube, affirmed the incident saying that he got a report from incensed residents who complained about the woman’s shameful affair with the teen.
Mr. Nyarube claimed that the kid’s parents had over and over cautioned the two against having a relationship however their warnings failed hid notice.
The chief added that investigations established that the suspect intended to wed the kid and cautioned that she will face the law since defilement is a crime according to the countries law.
According to the Sexual Offenses Act, a person who commits an offence of defilement with a child between the age of twelve and fifteen years is liable upon conviction to imprisonment for a term of not less than twenty years
The said woman is said to be arraigned at a Migori law court.
