Karangu Muraya had accompanied Apostle John Paul to India in search of cancer treatment, but their journey took an unexpected turn when they were detained at the airport.
Upon their arrival in India, the Akorino musician, Paul, and their companion were promptly apprehended by Indian authorities.
Right after touching down in India, their passports were seized by Indian officials, who cited their visa’s impending expiration as the reason.
The Indian authorities insisted that the three individuals return to Kenya to obtain new visas before re-entering India for their medical treatment.

Regrettably, there were no available flights back home, leaving them with no choice but to spend the night at the airport and the entire following day, waiting for their new flight.

Karangu described it as one of the most trying days of his life, where he had hoped everything would proceed smoothly.
Notably, popular Kikuyu gospel musician Loise Kim joined other Kenyans in expressing their frustration with the Indian authorities over the trio’s ordeal.
