University Student Drops Out of School to Become Petrol Attendant

Tshepi Zakeya, a 22-year-old woman, recently recounted her journey on TikTok, disclosing her difficult decision to abandon her university studies during her third year due to a lack of financial support from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

Tshepi had been enrolled in a BCom Statistics program at North-West University, but financial constraints compelled her to halt her academic pursuits.

Despite facing disappointment and uncertainty, Tshepi remained resolute.

In her TikTok video, she voiced her determination not to surrender, acknowledging her mother for imparting the resilience to persist in challenging times.
